Celebrating all that is unique to the Big Island, Hawaii’s Big Island Festival returns to the Kohala Coast November 5-9, 2003. The festival showcases the finest culinary talent in the United States and Hawaii, together with world-class wine tastings, a pavilion spotlighting the Big Island and its products, spa activities, golf and more.

The theme of the 2003 festival is “Toasting the Creation of Pacific Cuisine.” Hawaii’s Big Island Festival celebrates the diversity that is Hawaii—and the creation that diversity inspires.

The five-day festival opens with a Hawaiian blessing and welcome ceremony at “A Traditional Hawaiian Evening at Kona Village,” November 5. The authentic beauty of Kona Village Resort is the setting for an unforgettable evening of music and Polynesian cuisine reflecting the cultures of the South Pacific.

Celebrity Chefs
Hawaii's best chefs will join a contingent of Food & Wine magazine's invited chefs to present cooking demonstrations and culinary exhibitions. Special guest chef appearances will be included at each of the main evening events.
