Guests sample delicacies presented by LA’s leading caterers and finest chefs from such restaurants as Michael's, Drago's, and Lucques. Nearly 60 restaurants and caterers will be providing samples of their creations at Food Fare.

Some participating restaurants and chefs include Café Del Rey with Chef David Ino, Chef Celestino Drago from Drago, Lucques Restaurant with Chef Suzanne Goin, Melisse Restaurant with Josiah Citrin, Michael's with Michael McCarty, Chef Frank Fronda from Napa Valley Grille, Tommy Tang from Tommy Tang's, and Wolfgang Puck and Klaus Puck from Vert.

In addition to offering great cuisine, Food Fare will feature an "Author's Corner" with chefs signing their latest books, including Chef Jamie Gwen from KABC Radio signing her Modern Comforts Cookbook, Russ Parsons with How to Read a French Fry, Martha Rose Shulman with Best Vegetarian Recipes, Judy Zeidler with Gourmet Jewish Cook and many others.

This event, presented by the Planned Parenthood Los Angeles Guild, has been a fixture on the Los Angeles “scene” for 24 years. Food Fare raises funds to support the health care services, responsible sex education and advocacy of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.

Last year's Food Fare netted more than $350,000 for PPLA. Food Fare is produced by the Planned Parenthood Los Angeles Guild, a group of approximately 200 women who are dedicated to providing financial and volunteer support for PPLA. Since it was formed 20 years ago, the Guild has raised nearly $4 million for PPLA.

PPLA is the largest provider of reproductive health care services in Los Angeles County. It provides clinical services to more than 58,000 people a year, 82% of whom come to the agency for birth control and 96% of whom are at or below 250% of the federal poverty level. PPLA's responsible education and outreach programs deliver sexuality and family planning education to more than 76,000 teens, women and men a year. Through its Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project, the agency is also a leading advocate for reproductive rights.
